Tien Giang commences construction of two major projects

The People’s Committee of Tien Giang province began construction of the Vam Giong Bridge and the Provincial Centre for Disease Prevention and Control o n February 1.

The Vam Giong Bridge on provincial road No.864 in Cho Gao district has a length of 100m and a width of 12m, while the road leading to the bridge is 1,227m in length.

The bridge has a total investment of 56.6 billion VND (2.4 million USD) and is expected to be completed in the next 10 months.

The Provincial Centre for Disease Prevention and Control covers a total area of 12,569m2, which is next to the Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital in Phuoc Thanh commune, My Tho city.

The seven-storey building has a total investment capital of 173 billion VND (7.3 million USD) and is scheduled for completion in 11 months.

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tien Giang province Pham Van Trong said that these are key projects of the province with practical significance, creating a driving force for local socio-economic development. The Vam Giong Bridge is also the first construction work in the project on building provincial road No.864, running along the Tien River, helping to connect key economic regions and utilising the local economic potential.
