The airline operates five return flights per week on the route, with flight times lasting around 2 hours and 40 mins per trip. The flight frequency will gradually increase depending on actual travel demand.

Previously, passengers from the southern provinces who wanted to travel to Dien Bien by air had to take connecting flights with a total duration of up to 9 hours, causing much travel fatigue for them.

Bamboo Airways’ new service is expected to facilitate the travel of locals and tourists while enhancing the flying experience and reducing travel time for passengers.

According to Chairman of Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Do, the Ho Chi Minh City – Dien Bien air route will contribute to increasing connectivity, economic and cultural exchange between Dien Bien and other localities in the southern region.

He also expected that the new air route will open up opportunities for the province to develop tourism and attract investors.
