According to Acting Director of the National Library of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Dung, this year’s event has many diverse and unique activities such as: talks and exchanges between authors, works, painting competitions, story-telling of books in English and so on.

With the theme “Books for me, for you”, the event is expected to provide a chance for book lovers and the whole social community, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture and affirming the position, role and importance of books in social life, he noted.

In addition, many entertainment programmes and fun games for children will be held within the framework of the book festival, aiming to stimulate childrens’ potential.

The book festivals aim to promote a reading culture among the community, especially the younger generations.
