Viet Nam Airlines among Top 10 strongest brands in Viet Nam

Brand Finance — a leading global brand valuation consultancy headquartered in the United Kingdom — has ranked Viet Nam Airlines among the Top 10 strongest brands in Viet Nam in 2026. The airline is also the only representative of Viet Nam's aviation industry to appear in this ranking.

Viet Nam Airlines is the only Vietnamese airline to be included in the Top 10 strongest brands in Viet Nam in 2026.
Viet Nam Airlines is the only Vietnamese airline to be included in the Top 10 strongest brands in Viet Nam in 2026.

According to Brand Finance, the national carrier received high recognition for its customer-focused approach, its continuous efforts to improve service quality, and its commitment to building a trusted brand.

The organisation noted that Viet Nam Airlines has maintained customer trust and enjoys a strong presence in the aviation industry. These are important criteria in the Brand Strength Index (BSI), alongside the brand's financial value.

"The most important thing for Viet Nam Airlines is that every improvement brings practical value to our passengers. We remain committed to investing in our fleet, technology, route network, and service quality because these are the foundations for building a sustainable brand. Brand Finance's recognition is a great encouragement for Viet Nam Airlines to continue making further efforts in the future," said Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Viet Nam Airlines.

This result was achieved through the many years of Viet Nam Airlines’ implementation of a long-term development strategy focused on improving service quality, modernising its fleet, expanding its international route network, and enhancing the overall passenger experience.

As the national carrier, Viet Nam Airlines not only develops its business operations but also undertakes many special national missions. The airline has operated many flights in support of diplomatic activities, humanitarian missions and other activities of national significance. These achievements have also helped establish Vietnam Airlines' distinctive position in both the domestic and international markets.

An important milestone in the airline's development strategy is its investment project to acquire 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, the largest aircraft purchase in the history of Viet Nam Airlines. The project will enhance operational capacity, modernise the fleet, and provide a strong foundation for expanding the airline's route network in the coming years.

Alongside the expansion of its operations, the international route network has continued to grow with new services to Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Colombo (Sri Lanka), and Phuket (Thailand). The airline has also increased flight frequencies on many key routes to Europe, North-East Asia, and Australia.

The expansion of the route network not only provides passengers with more travel options but also strengthens connections between Viet Nam and international markets, promoting exchanges, tourism, and trade.

In terms of services, Viet Nam Airlines plans to continue accelerating its digital transformation by expanding the use of biometric technology, introducing in-flight Internet services, upgrading the Lotusmiles frequent flyer programme, and improving a wide range of ground and onboard services.

Earlier, in its Airlines 50 report 2026, Brand Finance also ranked Viet Nam Airlines among the Top 50 most valuable airline brands in the world. Being recognised in two prestigious Brand Finance rankings at the same time not only confirms Viet Nam Airlines' position in both the domestic and international markets but also demonstrates the effectiveness of its sustainable development strategy, which places customer experience at the heart of strengthening competitiveness and building the national airline's brand.
