On the afternoon of March 23, the Viet Nam Tourism Association organised a programme to introduce the Viet Nam International Travel Mart – VITM 2026 in the capital Ha Noi.

In recent years, Viet Nam’s tourism sector has gradually promoted green transformation, developed environmentally friendly tourism products and enhanced the responsibility of enterprises towards the community and society.

VITM 2025, with the theme “Developing green destinations, elevating Viet Nam tourism”, contributed to spreading the trend of building green destinations, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of Viet Nam tourism.

Continuing this trend, VITM 2026 adopts the theme of digital transformation and green growth to create new values for the tourism sector. Through the fair, tourism enterprises will have the opportunity to access modern technological solutions, smart tourism business models, while introducing green tourism products and sustainable tourism products in line with global tourism development trends.

According to Deputy Director of the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, over the past decades, VITM has become a brand and a meeting point for localities and enterprises from various countries to seek opportunities, connect and expand markets.

The most prominent activity of VITM 2026 is the implementation of a business networking programme with a large number of international and Vietnamese tourism enterprises (B2B), taking place on April 9 exclusively for enterprises registered to participate in the fair.

Alongside business networking activities, the fair will also host many tourism promotion activities between businesses and between businesses and consumers.

Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Tourism Association Cao Thi Ngoc Lan informed: “VITM 2026 is expected to have around 450 booths, attracting the participation of tourism promotion agencies at home and abroad, airlines, international tourism organisations, along with more than 600 tourism enterprises”.

“In addition, it is expected that 15 countries and territories and 34 provinces and cities of Viet Nam will participate in promoting destinations, introducing tourism products and seeking cooperation opportunities. The fair is also expected to attract about 80,000 visitors and transactions, creating a vibrant space for tourism promotion activities and market stimulation”, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Tourism Association Cao Thi Ngoc Lan added.

Within the framework of the fair, many conferences and thematic seminars will also take place to exchange views on tourism development trends in the digital era, green tourism development models, as well as solutions for applying technology in tourism management and business.

In addition, the ceremony honouring “Outstanding enterprises and individuals with excellent achievements in the tourism sector in 2025” will also be organised within the framework of the fair.
