The Infrastructure Board of the Viet Nam Association for Supporting Industries (VASI), in coordination with DTJ Investment and Distribution Joint Stock Company, held a ceremony in Ha Noi on May 14 to launch the Viet Nam Supporting Industry Infrastructure Map (VASI 2026). The initiative introduces a supporting industry infrastructure database platform aimed at enhancing connectivity between Vietnamese and international enterprises, while opening up strategic cooperation opportunities in manufacturing and supporting industries.

Truong Thi Chi Binh, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of the VASI, outlined orientations and policies related to supporting industries, providing an important basis for enterprises to proactively adapt to new development trends, improve competitiveness and gradually participate more deeply in global supply chains.

Sharing the same view, Pham Van Quan, Deputy Director General of the Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, expressed confidence in the process of building an integrated supporting industry ecosystem capable of connecting foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, thereby contributing to increasing the localisation rate of Viet Nam’s industry and promoting sustainable development.

The programme attracts strong participation from Viet Nam’s supporting industry business community, FDI enterprises, international business associations, industrial park developers and providers of industrial infrastructure solutions from both Viet Nam and abroad.

Discussing green development solutions for manufacturing enterprises, Phung Thi Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Green Transformation Association, a member of the G20 Industrial Alliance, continuously emphasised the practical significance of green development trends and the sustainable transition journey for Vietnamese enterprises.

With a view to improving production efficiency and competitiveness, optimising operating costs has become a major concern for many enterprises. During the programme, manufacturing enterprises, foreign-invested companies and other organisations introduced green factory solutions designed to meet environmental requirements.

Delegates also listened to presentations by representatives of Vnasolar Co., Ltd. on solar energy solutions for manufacturing plants, while Yang JiangHai, Assistant to the Chairman and General Director of Huizhou Jinzefeng Trading Co., Ltd. in Guangdong, China, shared operational experience and solutions for optimising production costs and environmental protection in Viet Nam.

The participation of enterprises from various sectors is expected to create a synchronised manufacturing connectivity network, promote investment cooperation and expand opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to join global supply chains.

Discussions and exchanges at the event provided a comprehensive overview of the supporting industry ecosystem, ranging from infrastructure and green development to practical operational solutions for businesses and environmental protection, areas where increasingly tangible progress has been observed.

Delegates agreed that the event marked an important milestone in the strategy to develop a concentrated supporting industry ecosystem in Viet Nam, aimed at increasing localisation rates, enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises and promoting deeper participation in global supply chains.

Notably, within the framework of the programme, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place between the VASI Infrastructure Committee, DTJ Industrial and partners including Hung Yen Investment and Development Group Joint Stock Company, MBT Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company, Vnasolar Co., Ltd. and international partners from China.
