At a conference held on March 13, representatives of startups operating in the export sector shared the difficulties they were facing and proposed solutions to address these challenges.

According to Nguyen Tuan Viet, Director of Vietgo Export Promotion Company, the conflict in the Middle East is creating significant changes in global supply chains.

These shifts are opening opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in markets that were previously supplied by countries in the Middle East. In particular, demand for agricultural products has been rising sharply.

“Many countries such as Israel and Iran have strengths in high-tech agriculture and have long been suppliers of clean agricultural products to the European market. However, when conflict occurs, production and transportation activities in the region are disrupted, forcing many importers to seek alternative sources from other countries,” Viet said.

For export startups, this is considered a notable market gap. Thanks to their flexible scale and ability to quickly adjust production and business strategies, many young enterprises can rapidly approach new customers and take advantage of opportunities to expand their markets.

Besides agricultural products, other sectors in Viet Nam are also recording positive signals.

Products such as textiles and garments, plastics, bedding, interior and exterior furniture, and footwear are expected to see increased demand as some traditional sources of supply are disrupted.

Ha Quang Vu, Director of Ha Quang Import-Export Company, shared: “Some people see volatility as a difficulty. However, for export businesses that know how to adapt, it is an opportunity to explore new markets and increase orders.”

Tran Binh Minh, Director of Dawnsky Company, noted that following recent fluctuations in the international market, Viet Nam is gradually emerging as a stable supply source.

The economy’s steady growth, abundant goods supply, and the ability of domestic enterprises to flexibly fulfil orders are factors helping to strengthen the confidence of international importers.

Accordingly, proactively grasping market information is considered a key factor. Enterprises need to maintain regular connections with international customers, intensify marketing activities, and stay updated on consumer demand in each market.

Business representatives also agreed that, amid increasingly fierce competition, strengthening the spirit of innovation and the ability to adapt flexibly has become more essential than ever.

At the same time, greater attention to brand building, intellectual property protection for products, and increasing added value are also decisive factors that will help export startups achieve sustainable development.
