Born in Hai Phong, the 27-year-old former volleyball player was previously Vietnam's representative at the 2009 Miss International in China. She is now a television host, businesswoman and philanthropist.
In the 2005 contest Mrs World contest in India, the Vietnamese representative Doctor Doan Thi Kim Hong was awarded the ‘Most Widely Admired Miss’ title.
The doctor has been presented with the ‘First Mrs World’ title for her contributions to social activities for the advancement of women in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region in 2013. She has also been invited to be a jury member at the 2013 contest.
The Mrs World contest, held by the Mrs World organisation, is an annual international beauty pageant for married women.
