At this year’s festival, many production teams opted for topical issues with depth and strong relevance.

According to the sub-committee responsible for judging the live radio category, participating units proactively integrated information on Party guidelines and State policies into their content, particularly the practical implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress. Practical issues such as “bottlenecks” in the operation of the two-tier local government model, along with proposed solutions, were addressed candidly.

Notably, major national issues such as the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth and the progress of the Long Thanh International Airport project were also explored by participating teams, demonstrating their responsiveness and close engagement with current affairs.

Many programmes featured senior local officials, along with experts and consultants as guests, helping to turn live radio broadcasts into open platforms for dialogue between authorities and the public.

Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Director-General of the Voice of Viet Nam and Head of the Organising Committee of the 17th National Radio Festival, stated that live radio has always been a highly compelling and dynamic format of broadcasting.

He expressed confidence that it would continue to offer new opportunities for development in the context of digital transformation. The strong participation in the live radio category reflects growing professional interest, while also reaffirming the essential role of radio in contemporary life.
