The event was organised to celebrate International Children’s Day (June 1) and in response to the Month of Action for Children.
The festival provides a cultural, artistic, educational, and experiential playground for children during the summer holiday. This year’s event features a diverse programme of activities, combining exhibitions, life-skills education, creative experiences, entertainment, and artistic exchanges.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasised that the Party and state have consistently identified children as the focal point of sustainable development policies and have devoted special attention to creating an environment that enables them to learn, play, create, and develop comprehensively in terms of physical health, intellect, emotional well-being, and character.
Cultural, artistic, and sporting activities for children have increasingly been prioritised, helping to nurture young minds, stimulate imagination, foster love for the homeland, and cultivate positive human values among the younger generation. This year’s World of Childhood Festival features a wide range of engaging and attractive activities.
Through artistic performances, creative spaces, and interactive programmes, children have the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of Viet Nam’s traditional culture, handicrafts, and historical values, along with the spirit of sharing, compassion, and a sense of responsibility towards the community.
The experiential activities will continue through to June 1.
