During a working session with the TJA, the two associations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the first press exchange programme in 2014.

Under the MoU, the two sides will work closely together to enhance the press co-operation, helping the two peoples understand more about the social, economic and cultural issues of the two countries.

The two associations discussed ways to strengthen their press co-operation through regional and international organisations such as the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Press Federation and the Association of ASEAN.

Both sides also agreed to organise annual training courses to enhance the professional ethics of the two countries’ journalists.

During the visit, the VJA delegation also met with The Nation Newspaper and the Thairath Daily Newspaper.
