Among international architecture awards, the Architizer A+Awards, organised annually by Architizer of the US, is regarded as one of the most effective platforms to connect professionals and the public. Established in 2012, the awards attract thousands of entries from hundreds of countries and territories each year.

At the 2026 edition, Hidden Spa–Water Hope, designed by Ha Noi-based IDEE Architects, was named Jury Winner in the Spa & Wellness category.

Hidden Spa–Water Hope was developed with an approach that respects the natural landscape and draws on the value of water as a central element. Rather than imposing a striking architectural form, the project chooses to blend into the terrain, making use of layers of sand, native vegetation, and open spaces to connect people with nature. According to professional assessments, this approach aligns with the growing global trend towards green and sustainable architecture.

Notably, unlike the Popular Choice Winner title, which is selected by the public, the Jury Winner title is chosen by an international panel comprising architects, designers, academics, creative professionals, and renowned critics. It is regarded as important recognition from the industry regarding a project's design quality, creativity, and the values it delivers.

Sharing details of the project, Architect Tran Ngoc Linh, co-founder of IDEE Architects, stated that the architectural language of Hidden Spa–Water Hope is expressed through restraint in form and materials. Stone, wood, and bamboo — familiar local materials — were chosen not only for their ability to adapt to the tropical climate but also for their natural beauty, which becomes richer over time. Stone walls help regulate temperature, while open roofs and corridors facilitate natural ventilation, reducing dependence on mechanical solutions.

One of the project's distinctive features is the preservation of mature trees that existed on the sand dunes before construction began. Over time, with the presence of water and shade, vegetation gradually developed around the project, steadily converting the dry sandy area into a vibrant green space.

In recent years, Vietnamese architecture has consistently been honoured at major international awards across a wide range of categories, including housing, public buildings, education, culture, resorts, healthcare, and sustainable development.

Beyond promoting design solutions that improve the quality of life and demonstrate environmental responsibility, the country's dynamic community of architects has also helped establish Viet Nam as a creative, distinctive architectural destination that is becoming increasingly integrated with the world.
