Bai Dinh Pagoda wins TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award

Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh Province has been honoured with the Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor as an outstanding destination with a green tick, indicating the site's remarkable credibility among international visitors.

The pagoda stood out among over 8 million nominations, thanks to a flood of glowing traveller reviews, evidence of its cultural, spiritual, and service-driven appeal.

The temple is now aiming to win Tripadvisor's Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards, which recognise the top 1% of travel experiences worldwide, based on exceptional reviews and opinions from travellers.

Situated within the UNESCO-recognised Trang An Landscape Complex, Bai Dinh Pagoda is renowned for its grand scale, unique architecture, and rich cultural history. It holds numerous Asian and Vietnamese records, including Asia’s largest gold-plated Buddha statue, longest Arhat statue corridor, and tallest Buddhist relic tower, along with Southeast Asia’s largest bronze Maitreya Buddha statue.

The site welcomes millions of visitors and pilgrims every year, especially during the spring festivals.

The TripAdvisor award not only recognises the charm of Bai Dinh Pagoda but also serves as a foundation for further development of Ninh Bình province’s tourism sector.

According to the provincial Department of Tourism, in the first seven months of 2025, Ninh Binh welcomed around 14.7 million visitors and earned tourism revenue of 13.34 trillion VND.

The locality expects to receive 18 million visitors in 2025, including over 2 million international tourists, with an estimated tourism revenue of 18 trillion VND.
