It is forecast that the revenue for the whole of 2024 will reach about 7.2 billion USD.
Vinafruit said the outlook remains positive from now until the end of 2024, noting that the main harvest period for durian has ended but Vietnam still has off-season durian.
In addition, the exports of many other fruits and vegetables also registered strong growth.
Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export growth in the first eleven months of the year witnessed positive growth in a wide range of markets such as the US, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
In the US market, many Vietnamese fruits and vegetables are becoming increasingly favoured, especially passion fruit and coconut, which will be further promoted in the coming time.
In October, the first 1.5 tonnes of passion fruit were shipped to Australia, opening a big opportunity for Vietnamese fruits and vegetables in this market.
