The vehicles are being staged at MPC Port in Hai Phong and will be loaded onto the ship called Silver Queen, which is scheduled to depart in the next few days.

This batch of electric vehicles is expected to arrive and go on sale in the US in May and come to the Canadian market in June.

VinFast VF8 is a premium D-class SUV with a range of 470 kilometres from a full charge.

Earlier in November 2022, the Vietnamese carmaker shipped the first batch of 999 VF8 City Edition vehicles abroad as part of the 65,000 orders for its VF8 and VF9 models globally.

On March 2, 2023, VinFast delivered the first 45 VF8 City Edition cars to US customers at nine VinFast Stores, officially kicking off the North American market.

VinFast said it delivered a total of 865 VF8s to customers throughout Vietnam in March.
