100 busts of President Ho Chi Minh presented in Tay Ninh province

The Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony in Tay Ninh Province on May 5 to present 100 busts of President Ho Chi Minh to local communes and wards, marking the 136th birth anniversary of the revered leader (May 19, 1890–2026).

The event was attended by General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army.

Speaking at the event, General Nguyen Trong Nghia stated that the image of President Ho is a sacred symbol, embodying wisdom, morality, and the nation’s aspirations for independence and freedom.

He emphasised that the presentation of President Ho Chi Minh’s busts is not only an activity of profound political and cultural significance but also an expression of the affection and gratitude of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence for his immense contributions.

The placement of Uncle Ho’s busts in agencies, units, and localities will help create a space for political education, serving as a reminder for every cadre, Party member, armed forces personnel, and citizen to study and follow the President’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, he noted.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of National Defence also presented certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding contributions to the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
