Cultural space honouring late Party chief opens in Da Nang

A cultural space dedicated to the life and legacy of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was inaugurated in the central city of Da Nang on August 5, which coincided with the 94th anniversary of the Communist Review, where he served as Editor-in-Chief for nearly three decades.

The space showcases a rich collection of his books and articles published in the review, serving as a tribute to his exceptional leadership and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country, said the head of the standing office of the Communist Review for the central and Central Highlands, Tran Tho Quang.

Organisers, including the standing office, the municipal branch of Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, and the Da Nang Companion Book Club, plan to expand the exhibit and maintain it as a long-term resource for visitors and researchers.

Trinh Quoc Bao, head of the book club, highlighted the cultural space’s role in spreading the General Secretary's spirit of patriotism, continuous learning, solidarity, simplicity, ethics, and responsibility to young people.

He said this space protects and promotes the values of national culture, helping the younger generation understand their responsibilities to the country and motivating them to study harder and contribute to national development.

Head of the Department, Head of the Standing Office of the Communist Review in the Central Highlands Tran Tho Quang informed: The late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong worked for many years at the Communist Review and held many important positions.

Therefore, today's space is also a place to display and introduce books and articles in the Communist Review by the late General Secretary and some data and documents about his life.
