This is the second time Da Nang has received this prestigious award since 2016.
This year’s WTA for Asia and Oceania included many categories including airlines, railways, hotels, resorts, conference venues travel agencies, tour operators, attractive destinations, cruises and cars.
Da Nang city surpassed the top 8 Asian destinations such as Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing, Hong Kong (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Macau (China), Seoul (Republic of Korea), Shanghai (China) and Singapore to be named at the awards ceremony.

The recognition continued to affirm the prestige of Da Nang as well as list the city in particular and Vietnam in general into modern and safe destinations with many international events on the global tourism map.
The title of Asia's Leading Event and Festival Destination 2022 is the driving force for Da Nang’s tourism sector to recover following the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic.
At the awards ceremony, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was also honoured with four prestigious awards including Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort 2022, Asia’s Leading Green Resort 2022, Asia‘s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2022 and Vietnam‘s Leading Luxury Resort 2022.
