Construction of the project commenced in April 2018, in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province.

Covering a total area of approximately 10,380 square metres, the 700-bed hospital is fully equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a suitable working environment for its staff members, as well as meeting the regulations of the Ministry of Health.

The inauguration of the hospital helps to raise the level of activities, expand the fields of treatment, and meet the requirements of intensive medical examination and treatment.

At the same time, the hospital will create conditions for people to access modern medical services, and reduce the number of seriously ill patients who have to be transferred to higher levels, saving costs and patients' time.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province Pham Thien Nghia suggested, that the Board of Directors of Dong Thap General Hospital should gradually professionalise the hospital management in the direction of high standards and quality. Doctors and nurses need to consider patients as the centre, helping people to access the best and most modern health care services.
