The event is part of a cooperation agreement between Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park in Viet Nam’s Quang Tri Province and Yorkshire Dales National Park.
A representative of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park said that the collaboration between the two national parks has been fruitful, with support from Oxalis Adventure, the operator of caving tours in the park.
Entitled “Underground Worlds”, the exhibition offers visitors magnificent and awe-inspiring insights into the cave system of Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, including Son Doong — the world’s largest cave.
The leadership of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park hopes that the exhibition will help the park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gain wider international recognition.
Running from October 24 to January 5, 2026, the exhibition marks the first time a Vietnamese national park has been showcased so prominently and for such an extended period in the UK.
Yorkshire Dales National Park is regarded as the “cradle” of global cave exploration.
The British Caving Association and cave expert Howard Limbert, who has made significant contributions to the development of tourism in Phong Nha–Ke Bang, also hail from this region.
