The three-day festival features 65 booths displaying products by 22 cities and provinces across Vietnam as well as from China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Thailand.

Visitors to the festival can take part in various culture and tourism activities, art performance, and trips to typical tourist destinations in Ha Giang.

Notably, chefs of the Japan-Vietnam Culinary Association will join hands to set a Vietnam record of 50 foods and drinks made from buckwheat.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that the festival is held to promote tourism cooperation between participating provinces and cities and advertise their tourist destinations, specialties, and cuisine; and create opportunities for businesses, organisations, and individuals to introduce their latest products and services.

It also aims to honour the role of culture in the tourism development, preserve, and promote the value of cultural identity, thus contributing to the development of green and sustainable tourism, he added.
