Two test centres have been established, located at No. 54-56 Tue Tinh Street in Hanoi and at No. 420 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in Ho Chi Minh City.
Launched in 2009, PTE Academic aims to assess the English qualification of non-native English speakers and students who want to study in universities and work in the business communities of English-speaking countries.
The test has been recognised as an English language qualification by most universities and high schools around the world, with 100% recognition from universities in Australia and 98% UK. Many embassies also accept the test when issuing visas for non-native English citizens.
Costs for the PTE Academic are relatively low at around US$150 in comparison with IELTS (over US$170) or TOEFL iBT (US$180). Students need to register only 48 hours in advance of the test date via internet or 24 hours via phone.
At the beginning of April, the company will open registration for both campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
