Those on the list are the brightest minds with positive influence in their respective fields, ranging from business, technology start-up and science to social work, arts, music, entertainment and sports.
Nguyen Bao Hoang, a representative of Forbes Vietnam, said the magazine’s “30 Under 30” list, first unveiled in 2015, had much resonance and was a source of inspiration for young people aspiring to succeed.
Some of the most notable figures are Nguyen Thanh Ngu, CEO of Thanh Thanh Cong Sugar Company; Tran Hoang Viet, deputy director of XLE Group; Nguyen Hai Ninh, founder and CEO of The Coffee House and Ly Hoang Nam, tennis player.
Forbes Vietnam’s Managing Editor Nguyen Lan Anh said there are more and more young people setting up businesses in technology, employing the internet as a tool to expand their services and extend influence on the market.
She added that the list also includes many social workers, social enterprise leaders and those organising activities or doing business to help address social issues.
According to Forbes Vietnam magazine, although there is an absence of large companies founded by the under-30s, many hold important positions in large enterprises.
They are also working hard to find new business models or technology-based activities to create social impacts.
