The new system enables full digitalisation of processes, from ticket issuance and payment to service validation, helping to establish a centrally managed ecosystem that seamlessly connects state management agencies, transport operators and the public.

Through the new system, the Ha Noi Traffic Management and Operation Centre (Tramoc) can, for the first time, set timetables, monitor operations and approve carriers’ transport orders on a single platform — the FMC Governance Centre. Data are updated in real time, ensuring transparency, accuracy and timeliness.

Once operational, the system will automatically calculate travel distances within Ring Road 1 to implement the free‑fare policy for residents under the city People’s Council resolution, which will be in effect from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

For transport companies, operating on the shared platform helps streamline staffing, reduce personnel pressures and enhance operational efficiency. The entire process, from planning and ticket issuance to personnel management and revenue reconciliation, is automated, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

The system also delivers many practical benefits for passengers. Residents can pay flexibly using transport cards, virtual cards, bank cards or QR codes via e‑wallets. Passengers aged 60 and above may use their national ID card for identity verification when travelling.

Alongside single‑ride tickets, passengers can opt for day, week or monthly passes with flexible durations ranging from 1 to 12 months, accompanied by various incentives.

According to the Ha Noi Department of Construction, the launch of the system marks a new development phase for the capital’s smart transport. In the near future, the system will integrate with other transport modes and mobility services such as urban rail, public bicycles, taxis, ride‑hailing services, national rail and aviation, contributing to building modern digital environment convenient for residents.
