Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung stressed that the theme “Hai Phong – Convergence – Radiance” affirms the close connection between the historical flow of the heroic port city and the culturally rich Xu Dong region. It symbolises internal strength, where industrial and seaport resources, together with world heritage values, resonate to realise the burning aspiration of building a solid foundation for Hai Phong to confidently rise and take off.
Through a wide range of activities, the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026 contributes to affirming the outstanding achievements in the construction and development process of the new Hai Phong City. It also creates a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, encouraging the city’s Party organisation, authorities, armed forces, and people to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the first Hai Phong City Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure.
A highlight of the opening ceremony is the art programme “Hai Phong – Convergence – Radiance,” which is designed as a seamless artistic flow connecting the city’s glorious past, dynamic present and aspirations for the future, portraying Hai Phong’s development journey in the new period.
On this occasion, Hai Phong City announced and presented the title of Hai Phong City Tourism Ambassador to Nguyen Thi Van Nhi, second runner-up of Miss Viet Nam 2024. The city also presented decisions recognising city-level tourism sites and certificates for “Tourism establishments meeting Hai Phong City Green Tourism criteria.”
