With a speed of up to 35 nautical miles per hour, it takes about four hours to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao Island in favourable weather conditions.

The high-speed boat route is a new waterway route from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao Island, creating more options for travelling between the two destinations, besides the air route.

The boat will run from May 15 and operate three round trips per week, with one-way ticket prices from 645,000 VND to 1.1 million VND.

Phu Quoc Express currently owns a fleet of 11 boats, with a capacity of 230 to 1,017 passengers, operating to Vietnamese islands such as Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Phu Quy and Ly Son.
