According to Dr Nguyen Chi Trung The Truyen, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital, the programme is for beneficiaries of preferential policies including: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, veterans, resistance fighters exposed to chemical toxins, relatives of martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution.

This is a meaningful and humane act of gratitude that the Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital has continuously maintained for over 20 years to honour the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations to the cause of national liberation and defence of the Fatherland.

According to the plan, registration is open from July 15-30 or until the maximum number of participants is reached. Individuals eligible for policy-based support who need cataract surgery can contact the numbering and appointment scheduling office at the outpatient and treatment area for registration instructions.

The surgery programme will be conducted from July 27-31 at the Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital.
