The Ministry of Science and Technology organised a ceremony to hand over Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park to Hanoi. The ceremony was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang.

Established in 1998, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is an important project to enhance national science and technology potential, playing a role in promoting the development of science and technology and serving the country's socio-economic development. When formed, this was the first model without precedent in Vietnam.

According to Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, after 25 years of formation and development, up to now Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has established important foundational elements to successfully build and develop a High-Tech Park.

The Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has attracted 101 projects with a total registered capital of about 97 trillion VND. Four large universities also poured investment into the hi-tech park, creating hi-tech human resources for the nation.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasised that the handover of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park will create favourable conditions for the city to concretize the goals identified in Resolution No. 15-NQ /TW, dated May 5, 2022, of the Politburo, "Promoting research, transfer, application, and development of science, technology and innovation; building Hanoi into an innovation centre, leading research, development, and technology transfer of the country and the region, with the core being Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park".
