Speaking at the event, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Bien Hoa City People’s Committee, emphasised that the locality has regularly organised many sports activities integrated into political and cultural programmes and events in the area.
In particular, the Olympic Run Day for the Public Health is a key sports activity aiming to encourage the participation of all people. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits of physical exercise and sports and affirm the community’s commitment to improving the quality of life, preventing diseases, and improving health and happiness index among the people.
In the programme, more than 3,500 youth union members, members and people performed an artistic formation of the map of the country to the music of revolutionary songs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
As part of the activities to celebrate the big event, in the coming days, many activities will be organised by the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province and the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City, such as: an artistic fireworks display programme to celebrate the April 30th holiday; a festival featuring revolutionary songs; a hot air balloon festival; and a pottery festival, among others.
