Produced by the People’s Army Cinema to mark the August Revolution and National Day, the film was directed by Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen. Its cast includes Do Nhat Hoang, Ha Anh, Phuong Nam, Hoang Long, Dinh Khang, Gia Huy, Steven Nguyen, Dinh Thuy Ha, Than Thuy Ha, and Hua Vi Van.
“Red Rain” draws inspiration from the 81-day battle at Quang Tri Citadel, portraying the courage and resilience of soldiers from Battalion K3 Tam Son (modelled after Battalion K3 Tam Dao). The film highlights Quang Tri Citadel as a symbol of indomitable spirit in Viet Nam’s struggle for independence and freedom.
