Speaking at the launch, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization, and President of the Viet Nam Journalists Association, affirmed that these were indeed significant initiatives undertaken by Nhan Dan to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh – the founder of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press – and to the generations of journalists who have dedicated their lives to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The Editor-in-Chief stressed that this was also an opportunity to look back on the glorious journey of revolutionary journalism – from Thanh Nien newspaper founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc in 1925, through the struggles for national independence and reunification, to the era of renewal and global integration.
At the same time, Le Quoc Minh highlighted the pioneering role of revolutionary journalism on the ideological and cultural front, guiding the development of modern journalism in the age of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, while conveying historical, cultural, and professional values to the public – especially the younger generation.
As part of the event, Nhan Dan introduced three major products.
First is the book “Writings by President Ho Chi Minh on Culture and Journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper”, a collection of outstanding articles by President Ho Chi Minh published in Nhan Dan, reflecting his thought, ethics, style, and vision on culture and journalism. This is a valuable resource, helping readers better understand Ho Chi Minh’s role in shaping revolutionary journalism and serving as a guiding reference for generations of journalists.
The publication was compiled and released jointly by Nhan Dan and the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House. Out of more than 1,200 of Ho Chi Minh’s articles published in Nhan Dan, 300 exemplary pieces were selected for this book.
The second is the June 21, 2025 special edition of Nhan Dan, which serves as a commemorative work, a historical retrospective, a tribute to the past, and at the same time, a professional manifesto for the future.
The third highlight is the publication “Milestones & Trends”, a comprehensive and meticulously compiled work in two parts: “Milestones” revisits 100 key landmarks of revolutionary journalism, from institutional and ideological shifts to advances in technology and organisation; “Trends” analyses major transformations in the age of AI and digital media—from content production and editorial operations to audience engagement, enriched by international data and domestic insights.
A core component of the commemorative campaign is the launch of the digital section baochicachmang.vn, which compiles articles, images, videos, and documents on 100 years of revolutionary journalism. This is a rich and accessible online resource for domestic and international readers, contributing to the promotion of historical values and the orientation of journalism development in the digital era.

Alongside the launch of special publications and digital content, the special exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press is taking place from June 18 to June 21 at Nhan Dan Newspaper’s headquarters.
The exhibition showcases documents, images, and valuable artefacts chronicling 100 years of revolutionary journalism – from early publications such as Thanh Nien and Viet Nam Doc Lap to wartime and renewal-era press materials.
The space vividly recreates the working environment of journalists across historical periods – from underground printing bunkers and intense battlefields to today’s modern newsrooms. Outstanding journalistic works, archival footage, and multimedia productions illustrate the evolution of the press in the digital age.
An interactive area for the public, particularly young people, enables visitors to experience the news production process and explore the role of journalism in social life.
