Attendees included Quang Binh Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang, 40 generals of the People’s Army and People’s Public Security from Quang Binh, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family members, and many local officials and residents.
According to Le Thuy District Party Secretary Phan Thanh Cuong, the construction was completed after nearly four months.
The first floor of the memorial house is a worship space with General Vo Nguyen Giap’s altar placed in a central and dignified position.
The second floor is an exhibition area displaying and preserving artefacts and memorabilia related to the general’s life.
The grounds and landscape of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s memorial house harmonise with the rural scenery of Le Thuy, emphasising the legendary general’s simple yet noble character.
