The event, organised by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, is a large-scale community activity and has special significance on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), and the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025).

Accordingly, the programme will take place from 5:00 am to 7:30 am on August 16 at Quang Ngai Provincial Square and surrounding streets, with about 3,000–6,000 participants.

At 6:00 am on August 16, participants will turn towards historic Ba Dinh Square to watch the national flag-raising ceremony, simultaneously sing the national anthem, and express their patriotism and national pride.

Immediately afterwards, they will walk about two kilometres, starting from Quang Ngai Provincial Square (Pham Van Dong Street), passing through Truong Quang Giao, Nguyen Du, and Le Trung Dinh Streets, and ending at Pham Van Dong Street. This activity demonstrates solidarity towards a green, clean, and sustainable future, with the aim of spreading the message “One Billion Steps into a New Era.”

In addition to assigning specific tasks to units and localities for mobilising and encouraging the participation of officials, public employees, workers, and people from all walks of life, as well as ensuring security, traffic safety, electricity supply, healthcare, environmental sanitation, and communications about the event, the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee also encourages all participants to wear red shirts with yellow stars.

According to Nhan Dan Newspaper’s correspondent in Quang Ngai, in recent days, units have been working hard despite the hot weather to complete preparations, ensuring the event is organised solemnly and safely.
