The service is a new transport product aimed at enhancing service quality and diversifying passenger experiences.

The JQB1 departed Ha Noi Station at 8:05 p.m. on August 10 and arrived at Dong Hoi Station at 7:00 a.m. the following morning, carrying 180 passengers, mostly tourists from the capital, northern provinces, and some international travellers.

In the opposite direction, the JQB2 train leaves Dong Hoi at 3:20 p.m. and arrives in Ha Noi at 4:15 a.m. the next day.

The train comprises 13 carriages: six sleeper cars, five seated cars, one dining car, and one power car. All were manufactured in Viet Nam using advanced technology, meeting high safety and comfort standards. Interiors are modern, featuring 360-degree swivel seats, sleeper berths with integrated TVs, adjustable air-conditioning by compartment, Wi-Fi connectivity, vacuum toilets, ABS brakes, and axle temperature indicators.

Many passengers on the inaugural service said they chose the train not only for its convenience and safety, but also for the scenic route, part of which is ranked among the six most impressive railway lines in the world.

At the welcome ceremony, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Quang Tri Tourism Promotion Centre presented flowers and souvenirs, and wished all passengers a safe journey filled with memorable experiences.

The launch of the JQB1/JQB2 service is expected to open new opportunities for connectivity between Ha Noi and Quang Tri, making it easier for tourists to explore the Phong Nha–Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Site and other local attractions. It also offers travellers more options for comfortable and modern rail services when visiting Quang Tri in particular, and central Viet Nam in general.
