Former President Nguyen Minh Triet was in attendance at the inauguration, which took place at the brewery in Phan Rang – Thap Cham city’s Than Hai Industrial Complex, Ninh Thuan province.
According to Van Thanh Liem,Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saigon - Ninh Thuan Beer Joint Stock Company,the VND450 billion (USS21.2 million) brewery is one of the best equipped factories in Ninh Thuan. It is expected to contribute around VND100 million per year to the local budget and generate jobs for more than 100 workers, he added.
The first phase of the project went into operation in June 2012, churning out 50 million litres of beer per year.
Also on this occasion, the company presented VND150 million to build social houses for needy people.
