By 4:00 am tomorrow (November 11), the storm is expected to move northwest at 10–15 km/h. The storm’s centre will be near latitude 19.2°N and longitude 117.7°E, over the eastern waters of the northern East Sea. The maximum sustained wind near the centre will remain at level 13, gusting to level 16. Disaster risk level: 3 for the eastern waters of the northern East Sea.
By 4:00 am on November 12, the storm will move north-northeast at 10–15 km/h. Its centre will be near latitude 21.7°N and longitude 118.7°E, over the northeastern waters of the northern East Sea. The strongest wind near the centre will remain at level 13, gusting to level 16. Disaster risk level: 3 for the eastern waters of the northern East Sea.
By 4:00 am on November 13, the storm will continue moving north-northeast at 10–15 km/h. The centre will be near latitude 26.2°N and longitude 126.5°E, off the northeastern coast of Taiwan (China) Island, before gradually weakening. The maximum sustained wind near the centre will decrease to level 8, gusting to level 10. Disaster risk level: 3 for the eastern waters of the northern East Sea.
Over the next 72 to 96 hours, the storm will move east-northeast at 20–25 km/h and continue to weaken.
Meteorological authorities predict that the storm is unlikely to directly affect the mainland of Viet Nam. However, at sea, the eastern waters of the northern East Sea will experience strong winds at levels 8–10; areas near the storm’s centre may reach levels 11–13, gusting to level 16, with wave heights of 5–8 metres, and 8–10 metres near the centre. The sea will be extremely rough.
All vessels operating in the affected areas are at risk of thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and high waves.
