Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Lao capital Le Van Mui described the gift as a vivid demonstration for the Party, State and Government’s care for the cause of education in the country.

This support serves as tremendous encouragement for the collective efforts of teachers and students at Nguyen Du school, an institution that has distinguished itself in Vietnamese language teaching while providing generations of students a better insight in to the culture, history, and friendship binding the two peoples.

Mui affirmed that the timely and practical assistance will reinforce confidence and create favourable conditions for the school to fulfill its education responsibilities, thereby contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Rector of the school Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong expressed her gratitude to the VFF’s HCM City chapter, saying its support will help the school turn itself into a trusted education establishment, thus preserving and developing the great Viet Nam – Laos friendship.

On the occasion, representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese Association in Vientiane presented 53 gift packages, each worth 500 USD, to the teachers of the bilingual school.
