The event formed part of the 2025 Week of “Great National Solidarity – Viet Nam Cultural Heritage”.
In her remarks, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy affirmed that the cultural promotion event contributes to enhancing exchanges, strengthening mutual understanding and deepening friendship between Viet Nam and international partners.
The experiential and cultural showcase activities conveyed a message of a unified yet diverse Viet Nam, rich in tradition and hospitality. Interactive spaces offered international friends an authentic and vivid experience of Vietnamese culture, helping to spread traditional values and project the image of a dynamic, friendly and increasingly integrated Viet Nam.
Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director-General of the Department of Ethnic Culture, noted that the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism aims to preserve, safeguard and promote the traditional cultural values of Viet Nam’s 54 ethnic groups.
Through cultural exchange activities, the village gradually brings Vietnamese culture to the world while hoping to learn from the cultural essence of other nations, thereby enriching Viet Nam’s own heritage.
He emphasised that through culture—and by means of culture—Vietnamese ethnic groups grow closer and more connected, reinforcing the great national unity bloc.
During the programme, international guests watched an introductory video about the village, explored Muong culture, took part in artistic exchanges with Muong communities from Phu Tho and Thanh Hoa provinces, experienced the Xo Dang cultural space, visited the Khmer pagoda complex, explored the Cham tower and learned about Cham pottery-making.
In the evening on the same day, the delegation attended an art performance celebrating the 2025 Week of “Great National Solidarity – Viet Nam Cultural Heritage” and the second Muong Ethnic Culture Festival at the Central Highlands Square stage.
