The signing of the agreement, which took place within the framework of the Thai Nguyen tourism season in 2023, is expected to create a new impetus for the locality’s tourism industry to better facilitate its integration and development after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the agreement, Vietnam Airlines and Thai Nguyen Province will coordinate to promote communications on destinations, tourism products and services, aviation, and investment opportunities of both parties in the mass media in the 2023-2027 period.
The two sides will also work together to organise tourism surveys trade promotion activities, cultural exchange events, sports and tourism activities, and festivals at both the national and international scale in Thai Nguyen Province.
Thai Nguyen is one of the major cities in northern Vietnam. The province boasts many famous tourist attractions such as Nui Coc Lake, Phuong Hoang (Phoenix) Cave, Mo Ga Stream, Mua Roi (Rainfall) Waterfall, and Tan Cuong Tea Hill. It is also home to unique cultures of local ethnic minorities such as Tay, Nung, and Dao.
Vietnam Airlines' extensive network of routes will help passengers visit Thai Nguyen by transferring from airports of Noi Bai (Hanoi), Cat Bi (Hai Phong City) or Van Don (Quang Ninh Province), thus contributing to strengthening the province’s tourism connectivity with other localities in the region.
