Vietnam Airlines named World's Leading Cultural Airline 2019

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines was honoured as the ‘World's Leading Airline - Premium Economy Class 2019’ and the ‘World's Leading Cultural Airline 2019’ at the grand final gala ceremony of the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2019 held in Muscat, Oman, on November 28.

Previously, the airline received three prestigious awards, including Asia’s Leading Airline - Economy Class, Asia's Leading Airline - Premium Economy Class, and Asia's Leading Airline – Brand, at the WTA Asia & Oceania Gala Awards 2019 held in the island district of Phu Quoc, Kien Giang Province, Vietnam, in October this year.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Vietnam Airlines has won the WTA awards both regionally and internationally.

The accolades reflect the international community’s recognition of the robust development of Vietnam Airlines. Not only boasting highly appreciated services, the airline has also won customers’ favour thanks to a delightful touch of Vietnamese traditional cultural identity, which can be seen through its products and services, both in-flight and on-ground.

The WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Today, the WTA brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.

Each year, the WTA covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective success within each key geographical region.

In 2019, World Travel Awards Grand Tour featured regional gala ceremonies in North America and the Caribbean (Jamaica), Middle East (Abu Dhabi, UAE), Africa and the Indian Ocean (Mauritius), Europe (Madeira, Portugal), Latin America (La Paz, Bolivia), and Asia and Oceania (Phu Quoc, Vietnam).
