According to Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung, the attendance of the businesses has been supported by the Netherlands-based Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI). Though Vietnam’s garment and textile products have earned a position in the EU market, they have yet to diversify.

The exhibition is an opportunity for the businesses – Como, VIERA Co., Ltd. And H.A Trading Fashion Co., Ltd – to enter a new phase; developing their own designs and collections to conquer European markets, said the ambassador.

Louk Grauwen, the CBI’s expert, said that the centre has advised the three businesses on ideas to design products that match European tastes in fashion and the upcoming season’s fashion trends while providing free information about the EU and Netherlands markets and offering exporters training courses to improve export capabilities.

The Vietnamese Trade Office in France has arranged for the businesses to meet French importers and the retailer Casino in order to introduce their products and establish co-operation with Casino Group, said Vietnamese Commercial Counselor in France Nguyen Canh Cuong.

The exhibition is held twice every year, attracting nearly 1,000 businesses from 30 countries and thousands of visitors from all over the world, and creating opportunities for businesses to introduce new products, meet potential customers and understand competitors in the market.
