The literary, art and press awards on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle in the 2021-2025 period aims to promote, inspire, and encourage the creation and dissemination of literature, art, and press works on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle.
The awards have established both their prestige and far-reaching impact, attracting a wide range of submissions across various forms including journalism, architecture, fine arts, photography, music, dance, cinema, theatre, literature, publishing, folk arts, and works by ethnic minority communities.
The submitted and award-winning entries express deep gratitude and reverence for President Ho Chi Minh and vividly reflect the widespread movement to study and follow his example.
According to the organising committee, the preliminary review panels selected 269 entries for the final round. The final judging panel reached a strong consensus to honour 12 first (A) prizes, 56 second (B) prizes, 99 third (C) prizes, and 102 consolation prizes. Additionally, 34 collectives and 12 individuals were commended for outstanding contributions in promoting these works.
Notably, among the winning entries receiving first prizes were two works by foreign authors including the fine art piece entitled “Following the Footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh” by Romanian-French artist Georg Esco, and a group of songs including “Forever Ho Chi Minh”, “Portrait of Ho Chi Minh”, and “Vietnamese Women” by the late Venezuelan musician, People’s Artist and revolutionary Ali Primera.
Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasised that President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle are invaluable spiritual assets of the Party and the nation. They serve as a guiding light for the Vietnamese revolution’s victories in the struggle for national liberation and the ongoing path toward socialism, renovation, and national development.
Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s example is the path for all Vietnamese people as they inherit and continue writing the heroic and glorious history of the Ho Chi Minh era in this new era, he added.
According to the Politburo member, in recent years, the PCC’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilisation, together with Party committees and local authorities, have implemented numerous creative and effective methods to make studying and following Ho Chi Minh a regular practice and a cultural need among officials, Party members, and the general public.
The organisation of the awards for creative and promotional works on the theme of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh has become a prominent and influential activity, attracting a wide array of artists, intellectuals, journalists, the public, and international friends to participate with high-quality submissions.
He praised and acknowledged the collectives and individuals and expressed sincere appreciation to the foreign authors who participated with enthusiasm, passion, and responsibility. With over 1,500 eligible entries, the event’s growing reputation and influence are increasingly affirmed.
