Speaking at the program, First Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Bui Quang Huy revealed that the programme will feature more than 500 activities to be held in 63 cities and provinces across the country.
Prominent activities include a running event to raise funds for volunteer activities, tree-planting events, and the presentation of gifts to disadvantaged people, border guards and naval soldiers.
There will also be cultural, arts and sports activities for youths from different social backgrounds, with a focus on young workers, those living in rural areas, and young people with disabilities.
At the launch ceremony, the Hanoi Youth Union presented 100 scholarships, worth 2 million VND each, to students living in difficult circumstances in Tay Ho District, and donated 5,000 bamboo trees to Gia Lam District.

On the same day, an arts exchange was held at the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in Vientiane by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s chapter in Laos and the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union.
The event featured 15 performances by Vietnamese youth union members in Laos and students of the Lao National School of Culture and Arts. The performances praised the patriotism and solidarity among youths of the two countries.
In response to the Youth Action Day programme, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s chapter in Laos is also hosting a series of meaningful activities, including a display of photos on Vietnam-Laos relations, delivery of gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties at Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School in Vientiane, and tree-planting events in Pec District, Xiangkhouang Province.
