Taking place from August 11 to 14, 2024, MOH-VN 2024 is co-organised by the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education under the support of Rencontres du Vietnam, Centre for Bioscience and Biotechnology (Ho Chi Minh City-based University of Science) and the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Vietnam, in collaboration with the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the Veterinary Vaccinology Network, and the Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB).
The conference aims to provide an international forum for leading academic scientists, researchers, medical doctors, and scholars from around the world to discuss microbiology topics with a focus on One Health.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on August 11, Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Chairman of Rencontres du Vietnam and Director of the ICISE, said that the conference affirms the importance of microbiological research in interdisciplinary interactions towards finding comprehensive solutions to better protect public health.
“By understanding microorganisms, we can effectively prevent, diagnose and treat infectious diseases, protect human, animal and environmental health, and contribute to building a sustainable society,” he stressed.
Participants at the event will engage in plenary talks, keynote talks, and oral and poster sessions, during which they will present and discuss their latest research results.
The discussions cover various topics, such as early diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance and treatment, vaccine development, pathogenesis and infection, bioinformatics and microbiome, zoonosis and One Health, and environmental microbiology.
