The project, covering an area of 6.5 hectares with a total investment of US$70 million, is expected to accommodate 7,000 full-time students.

According to BUV, the project will be built in three phases. The first phase, at a total cost of about US$25-million, will cover nearly three hectares and is scheduled to become functional by the end of 2017.

The Rector of the BUV, Graeme Davies, affirmed that the Ecopark new campus construction shows BUV’s commitment to promoting sustainable development in Vietnam.

The university is aiming to recreate the modern teaching environment in UK schools so that Vietnamese students can obtain world-class, highly regarded training and education right in their home country, he added.

The Hung Yen provincial leaders have also welcomed the BUV to select Hung Yen as an investment destination and promised to create the most favourable conditions to complete the project on schedule in order to attract human resources to the province and the region.

In 2015, BUV is the first international university in Vietnam to receive the Ministry of Education and Training’s approval to conduct full-time degree programmes with Bachelor of Arts in finance and in economics.
