On behalf of the northern province’s government, Secretary Le Thi Thuy extended her greetings to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet and wished all Buddhists in Ha Nam a joyful festival.
Thuy spoke highly of local Buddhists’ contributions to the province’s development and the great national unity bloc.
She expressed her hope that the Sangha would continue to encourage Buddhists to contribute their part to the socio-economic development of Ha Nam and Vietnam, as well as to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements.
Following the traditional rituals, the organisers read the message by the Supreme Patriarch on the occasion of Buddha’s birthday, which called on all Buddhists to do good deeds and join hands in building the country.
