Major exports include smartphones, tablets as well as other electronic products and parts. Revenue from foreign-invested firms accounted for 97% of its export turnover.

Recently, Thai Nguyen Province has seen many factories with large investments come into operation, one of which is Sunny Opotech’s 73 million USD facility, which manufactures and assembles camera modules at the Yen Binh Industrial Park.

The company is planning to invest another 260 million USD to build a second plant in the province.

The 163 million USD MDF factory of Dongwha Vietnam at the Song Cong II Industrial Park recently entered operation, with an annual capacity of 300,000 cubic metres of MDF and 37 million square metres of flooring.

The company is preparing to pour another 350 million USD to expand the facility and become the second largest foreign-invested firm in Thai Nguyen.

Since the start of the year, Thai Nguyen has decided to establish 7 industrial clusters with a total investment of 3.2 trillion VND (over 141 million USD).

Currently, many industrial clusters are accelerating the construction of infrastructure to attract secondary investors to build their manufacturing facilities.

The province is also taking bold measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the industrial parks.
