The event aims to mark the celebrations of 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The concert will take place at the Vietnam music academy, No. 77 Hao Nam Street, Hanoi, at 8 pm on May 2.

Saskia Laroo (trumpet), born in Amsterdam, was dubbed in the US by press and public as the “Lady Miles of Europe.” Performing from the tender age of 8, the jazz musician plays a “modern jazz” – party mix style, blending the genres of bebop jazz, club, hip-hop, rap, world, and others.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Warren Byrd is an Afro-American jazz pianist, vocalist and composer with a long list of international credits, tours, and celebrated work. He performs live and tours as a solo pianist and vocalist.

The concert is part of a series of activities that will be rolled out through 2018 across several of Vietnam’s most dynamic and thriving cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Da Nang, and Hai Phong.

Together with trade and business, music, arts, and culture form a broad and diverse Vietnam - Netherlands relationship.
