The event aims to recall the city’s glorious history and honour the great achievements recorded by its government, armed forces and people, while affirming its stature in the integration and development period.

With 305 photos and sketches, and nearly 3,000 materials, including newspapers, books and royal decrees, the exhibition provides a comprehensive view of the urban history and development of Da Nang, helping today’s generation better understand the efforts and sacrifices of their forefathers in building and protecting the city.

Do Ngoc Nga, a 57-year-old man from neighbouring Quang Nam Province, shared that the exhibition is significant as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.

He added that the exhibition not only illustrates Da Nang’s heroic history but also helps to spread pride and arouse responsibility among the younger generation towards the previous generations’ contributions.

Visitors to the exhibition, which runs until March 30, also have the opportunity to experience traditional crafts in Da Nang, such as weaving mats and making rice paper wrappers.
