Lacquer art exhibition celebrates 14th National Party Congress

The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a ceremony to open a lacquer art exhibition in Ha Noi on December 12 as one of activities to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

The exhibition showcases 44 outstanding works themed around praise for the homeland and the nation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of the leadership of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists, and the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association; as well as artists from multiple generations and members of the art-loving public.

The 44 lacquer paintings selected for display are the result of the talent and creativity of generations of veteran artists who have made significant contributions and left enduring marks on the development of Vietnamese fine arts, including Nguyen Van Binh, Nguyen Nghia Duyen, Le Quoc Loc, Lo An Quang, Tran Dinh Tho, Nguyen Van Ty, and Doan Van Nguyen.

In addition, the exhibition features the participation of contemporary artists whose creative careers have earned wide recognition, such as Pham Hoang Van, Nguyen Phuc Loi, Nguyen Truong Linh, Tran Tuan Long, and Bui Huu Hung.

A large number of visitors have the opportunity to appreciate the outstanding lacquer works representing Vietnamese fine arts.

Through these representative works, the organisers aim to honour historical and national cultural values, promote the beauty of the country, and at the same time inspire pride and creative vitality among painters and artists.

The exhibition also contributes to creating an aesthetically rich artistic space that meets the cultural and artistic appreciation needs of the public.

Many of the displayed works evoke the atmosphere of spring and the Lunar New Year across regions of the country.

The exhibition is open to visitors at No. 29 Hang Bai Street, Ha Noi, until December 22.
